# Movement

### Walking & Running

Walking (movement keys only) consumes no stamina. Running allows the player fast movement with all the aiming and firing mechanics of walking, except it consumes stamina. When stamina runs out, you can no longer run (or roll).

### Rolling

Rolling provides both strategic and critical functions. Roll to dodge throwables, evade nearby opponents, and take cover. **Rolling reduces damage** to the player (when hit mid roll). If you catch on fire, roll twice to put out the flames. You can roll from any position (standing, walking, running).
